Scope of Work: Civil Engineering – Harbauk Project

1. Project Overview

The Harbauk Project is a major civil engineering undertaking executed by Skargi Africa Engineering & Construction Ltd. The project focuses on the design, construction, and development of essential civil infrastructure to support industrial operations and community growth in the Harbauk area.

The works are aimed at improving accessibility, durability, and safety through advanced engineering practices, quality materials, and efficient project management systems.

2. Project Objectives

• To construct durable and high-quality civil infrastructure that meets specified engineering standards.

• To ensure timely project delivery through effective planning, coordination, and supervision.

• To enhance operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability in the Harbauk facility.

• To comply with environmental and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

3. Scope of Work

a. Site Preparation and Earthworks

• Conduct site clearing, grading, and leveling activities.

• Execute excavation and backfilling operations.

• Construct foundations, retaining structures, and embankments as required.

• Carry out soil stabilization and compaction tests for structural reliability.

b. Structural Works

• Design and construct reinforced concrete structures including slabs, beams, columns, and retaining walls.

• Erect structural steel frameworks for plant buildings and support structures.

• Carry out formwork, reinforcement, and concrete pouring to meet design specifications.

• Implement load-bearing and durability tests in compliance with international standards.

c. Drainage and Road Works

• Design and construct open and closed drainage systems for effective stormwater management.

• Construct access roads, pavements, and culverts to facilitate vehicle and personnel movement.

• Provide surface finishing, road marking, and signage installations.

d. Building and Ancillary Works

• Construct administrative and utility buildings, workshops, and control rooms.

• Execute masonry, plastering, roofing, tiling, and painting works.

• Install plumbing, water supply, and sanitation systems.

• Provide landscaping and site finishing works.

e. Quality Assurance and HSE Compliance

• Conduct quality inspections and material testing throughout the construction phases.

• Ensure adherence to Skargi Africa’s HSE policies and applicable environmental regulations.

• Maintain proper documentation, inspection reports, and safety records.

f. Project Management and Supervision

• Prepare and implement work schedules and progress tracking systems.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.

• Conduct regular site meetings, progress reviews, and quality audits.

• Submit detailed progress reports and as-built documentation.
