The Project
Skargi Africa Engineering & Construction Ltd is providing comprehensive Process Plant and Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) maintenance services for Asmara Mining operations in Eritrea. The project focuses on improving equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient mining operations.
Our multidisciplinary maintenance teams are deployed across all critical plant infrastructure — from crushers and mills to heavy earth-moving equipment — ensuring continuous operational availability and maximum production efficiency.
Scope of Work
Comprehensive maintenance of all process plant systems including grinding circuits, flotation cells, thickeners, and reagent dosing systems.
Scheduled and breakdown maintenance of heavy mining equipment fleets — excavators, haul trucks, drill rigs, and earth-moving machinery.
Planned and emergency shutdown execution with skilled teams, minimizing downtime through coordinated scope management.
Bearing replacements, precision alignment, gearbox overhauls, and structural integrity maintenance across all plant systems.
Belt inspection, tensioning, idler replacement, pulley maintenance, and structural conveyor framework support.
Structural and pressure welding, custom fabrication, liner replacements, wear part manufacturing, and general metalwork.
Routine and condition-based inspections, NDT testing, wear analysis, and comprehensive equipment condition reporting.
CMMS-based planned maintenance programs, lubrication schedules, filter change programs, and predictive maintenance strategies.
Full HSE compliance, risk assessment facilitation, toolbox talks, LOTO procedures, and international mining safety standards.
